Cherry Cabernet 2002
This cherry cabernet sauce recipe tastes like it requires a lot of time and finesse. But, this is actually one of the fastest, simplest wine sauce recipes there is. A cherry cabernet sauce is delicious on pork, turkey, duck, and all types of game.
1 cup cherry preserves; 1 cup cabernet wine; 1 clove garlic, (peeled, left whole); 4 springs thyme; 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper and salt to taste.
Preparation: Add all ingredients to a saucepan and over medium heat bring to a simmer. Simmer for five minutes. Turn off heat, and remove garlic clove and thyme springs. Transfer to a serving bowl, and serve warm, or room temperature. Sauce will thicken slighty as it cool. |
